It really depends on the individual. Everyone can work at their pace and at the studio; we will try to accommodate your every need. But generally 6-8 months of regular training and practice put you in a good, confident position to socially dance. However, the learning in dance can continue for as long as you like. There are students with us who are still learning and training since the last 5 to 7 years. So sky is the limit !
Everyone, including our professional instructors, started from the beginning. Each time a new student begins their lessons, we remember what our first lessons were like. Our students are constantly telling us, how many people compliment their dancing when out at a club. The studio is a safe and supportive environment in which to learn to dance, and there is absolutely no reason to feel self-conscious. Our programs are designed to gradually allow you to express your new-found freedom on the dance floor. Take it at your own pace, you will soon feel comfortable and more confident.
If you are a beginner it is recommended that you take lessons twice a week with social dancing once a week; that would make it three days in a week to dance. If you have been taking lessons for a while it is ok to take many courses together so that you can explore yourself and get exposed to as much dancing as possible.
A Roll Over Credit or ROC is offered to a student who has registered and paid the fees, but for some reason is unable to attend. You can use the credit on a future course date instead. To avail this, a student can ask for ROC while cancelling class between 7 days prior to 72 hours before your course starts.
For a roll over to be valid, you have to not only apply for the roll over during the above window, but also at that time mention the month, where you would like to join. ROC’s are valid for 3 months from the date of issue and must be claimed within the validity. If you apply for an ROC and do not mention the month to us, your ROC will automatically get cancelled and your membership will stay as is. And in such a case no further requests will be entertained in the future. In essence, you cannot pay fees and show up to class as and when you feel like. You have to book a course and stay with it. if you fail to attend or communicate, the classes are counted and cannot be further adjusted.
After a course starts or during the 72 hours prior to a course starting, there will no roll over nor any refunds. ROC’s is not transferrable either. The decision to offer a ROC will be decided by Dance Central and your one point contact at Dance Central. In certain cases we may deny a ROC as well. All rights reserved by Dance Central.
In certain cases, a 50% cancellation charge may apply on producing valid documents justifying reasons of medical emergency etc.
Yes; all our instructors are very talented, qualified and, most of all friendly and helpful. All our instructors have to complete the Instructor Training Program before they start teaching classes. You can rest assured of the quality; it is consistent across all our studios.

We are always happy to evaluate your dancing and advice upon the most appropriate class for you. However we recommend you to have a look at our individual course descriptions that will give you a better idea of which level of class you should join. Alternatively, for your information, if you are new to this style, irrespective of whether you believe you are two left feet or have had no prior background or have had some or considerable background in other styles, you will have to start from beginners or the basic level. If you have had prior training in Salsa or Latin Styles before, please talk to our support team on WhatsApp and they will guide you into a level that best suits you. Do note every school works with different foundation, syllabus and teaching methods. Its not important which level you are at, it is important to understand how your skill and training fits into our training modules.
At Dance Central, we believe that Salsa is the strongest and most comprehensive partner style. Training in this style enables you to understand a wide range of partnering techniques. Training in other styles would mean you may be exposed to only a part of the partnering fundamentals. In simpler language, A salsa dancer will be exposed to the fundamentals of Bachata and/or Kizomba, but, it isn’t the other way around. So being a skilled Dancer in Salsa is finding yourself in an extremely competent space in Bachata and Kizomba Classes. Fact check: All good bachata dancers have background in Salsa. There is not a single "GOOD” bachata dancer who has not trained in Salsa.
